How I can work with you
Alexandra Chiorando speaking to an audience during an early years training session.

Every setting, team and organisation is different, so much of my work is tailored around what you actually need. I work with individual settings, schools, childminders, nursery groups, local authorities and organisations across the Early Years sector, both in person and online.

Early Years consultancy days
A consultancy day can be shaped entirely around your setting and your priorities. This might include spending time in rooms observing practice, reviewing your curriculum and provision, supporting leaders and practitioners, looking at communication and interactions, behaviour and regulation, SEND, environments or preparing for Ofsted. I can also provide quality assurance visits, curriculum reviews and support following inspection. The aim is always to leave you with practical advice, ideas and clear next steps – not simply a list of things that need changing.

Live online training
I run public live training sessions on Zoom throughout the year covering a range of Early Years topics. You can book one place for yourself or places for members of your team, making this an accessible option if you don't need a whole-setting training session.

Private Zoom sessions
If travelling or bringing everyone together in person isn't practical, you can book me privately on Zoom. This could be a consultancy conversation with a leader, support around a particular issue, a team meeting, or a training session created specifically for your setting or organisation. It's also a useful option for nursery groups with teams based in different locations.

In-person training
I deliver face-to-face training for groups of all sizes – from a small nursery team or group of childminders to nursery groups, schools and local authorities. Sessions can be chosen from my existing training or developed around the needs of your team. I can deliver anything from a focused session to a full training day.

Conferences, keynotes & public speaking
I speak at Early Years and education conferences, exhibitions and events in the UK and internationally. Sessions can be practical and interactive, keynote-style or created specifically around the theme of your event.

Consultancy for companies & organisations
I also work with businesses and organisations that need specialist Early Years expertise. This can include reviewing or developing resources and content, advising on products or services for young children and practitioners, contributing to educational projects, or providing an Early Years perspective during development.

Collaborations & project work
I'm always interested in thoughtful collaborations that connect with Early Years practice. This might include writing and content creation, campaigns, resource development, media work, research-informed projects, events or working together to create something new.

If you're not quite sure which option fits what you need, get in touch and tell me a little about what you're looking for. I can suggest the best way for us to work together.

“We found the training extremely engaging from the beginning. There was so much useful content and we particularly liked the practical strategies and activities to do with the children. Engaging with the team and asking for their experiences and feedback throughout really got them thinking about what they do and how they could perhaps do things differently. The balance of theory and practical learning was great and the activities throughout the day kept staff moving and engaged. We felt it was all very relevant – we just would have liked a little more time to fit everything in!”
